Most animals nowadays are supplied with processed animals foods. They are being given special foods for different purposes. Like for example, pets likes dogs that are being groomed for contest and exhibitions are given 'extra special' foods as compared to those ordinary dogs. I have a friend that gives her cat special cat food because she always put her cat in the yearly Paws and Claws Fashion Week that is held every 2nd week of September. Noe that the date is getting near, she is now grooming her cat at its best.
We supply these animals with processed foods simply because they have grown with humans and they were not brought up using their own instinct of hunting of finding food for themselves. That's the reason why many street dogs and street cats are malnourished and many die due to hunger because they do not know how to hunt for themselves.
It may be said that humans have already gone beyond the line between the human and the animal world. Wild animals are continuously decreasing in numbers due to the humans expansion and and expansion means getting a lot more space, thus taking some of these animals natural habitat.
In turn, these animals wild behavior are lost and they become domesticated. Take for example this video from National Geographic where they studied how cats became domesticated.
Humans have affected the wild life for many reasons. The individualistic nature of animals and they natural instinct are lost. Nowadays, even dangerous animals are being captured and raised as pets. This methods may seem cool, but actually its not. If this continue, all the wild animals will become domesticated and soon there will be no 'wild' to call for.
