Please give us a short summary of your website?

Published artist creates paintings of various dog breeds, offered on canvas prints, greeting cards, original paintings and decorative items.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

Self employed published animal artist.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

First website was launched in 2001 with the same URL and offering similar products.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Name established in 2001, based on nature of my work.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I sell more products than most artists who paint the same subject.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To continue selling to retail and wholesale customers, worldwide.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Exceptionally well with continued hard work.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Publish paper catalogs of products and purchase a mailing list.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Fulfilment is the next step.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

none I couldn't handle.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting an easy to navigate web site.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

My products.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

Exceeded expectations.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

7 years and wish to continue for many more years.

Do you love what you do?

I love dogs, I love to paint and I love dealing with people who love their dogs. Absolutely, I love what I do and wouldn't trade it for a higher paid position in another field.
