I blog about my experiences as a Veterinary Student at the University of Melbourne, including some of the things that I learn and thing animal owners should know.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
I'm blogging so that I have a record of my time at Uni to look back on after I graduate, and to help inform pet owners about things they may not have known.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Wordpress because it's easy to use and can allow anyone to comment without logging in.
What do you blog the most about?
Experiences I've had working with animals. I"m adding more pet and livestock health articles when I study.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Internet marketing blogs. All those blogs that tell you how to make money online, increase your pagerank etc when they themselves are making no money, are desperate for traffic and atr struggling.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Post often, use pictures to break up the text, check spelling, participate in the bloggosphere and don't expect instant miracles.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
My romantic life, because boyfriends can read too.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
No, I started blogging for pleasure. So far I have earnt $7 though. I'd rather have comments than $$.

since November 2007.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
Maybe one hour at most. It's not a lot of time really.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
I don't know how to track them.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
not really
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
Occasionally, but I don't see many results. I'm hoping it will start paying off soon though, because everyone raves about how much traffic it brings them.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Being helpful on forums and having a signature link. It brigns in targeted traffic that is actally interested in what I"ve written.
