Our topic for today do not really have something to do with the ancient Egyptian structures. We're still on the pet side folks.
Ok, so look on the side of your screen. What can you see? No, those are not Chihuahuas. And no, that is also not Yoda's family from Star Wars. So I will just tell you what they are. They are actually cats. And remember, they are not malnourished. It's just that they are hairless. They are the icebergs in the desert. They are the rare Sphynx.
Sphynx cats is one of the rarest breeds in the feline world. They might look scary because of their body wrinkles and hairless body, but they are actually one of the breeds that is most loyal and very affectionate to their masters.
Obviously, their physical appearance is not a thing you can compete with those fluffy Abyssinian and cool Persian cats. They are not the Garfield type. And if you show them to kids for the first time, its a normal thing to get screams and have them crying.
Sphynx cats are said to be the fastest mutating breed of cats. Though there were studies showing they haven been inhabiting the earth for many centuries, their breeds have just been socially accepted as pets in the 1960's.
Since then, there are a lot of mutations in the Sphynx breed, with the Hawaiian Sphynx as the newest called Kohona.
Because of their fossil-like, devil-presence, ancient cat appearance, most Sphynx cats are used as a villain in movies. The most famous would be Dr. Evil's Mr. Biggleworth in the movie Austin Powers.
Many find them scary and weird, but I actually think they're cute. I can't imagine how great is it to feel their warm body, with their flesh you are almost touching. Oh great, someone tell me where to get a Sphynx cat.
