Snipes. We have all heard of them, whether it was the invisible oines or the big tall ones, or however your parents described it to you as a young, unsuspecting child. I remember when i was little, I was at a cabin with my family, and my mom gave us all plastic bags and told us to run around until we felt something move in our bags (meaning the snipes were invisible and we could catch them in plastic bags).
Well of course there were no invisible snipes running around, but my mom threw a rock in my bag while I was running around so I started freaking out because it thought I got one. I was so excited until I opened the bag and saw the rock, then I was so so sad. Then, 3 years later, i was flipping through the National Geographic and i saw this strange bird.
In the caption, it said it was a snipe! Can you believe it!! They are real!!!
