What is your website about
We are a family breeder of Shih TZu and Designer Tzu puppies. Our goal is to produce a loving , well socialzied family pet. From our family to yours. Our puppies will have a neo par vaccine at 4 weeks and standard 5 way vaccine at 6 weeks, plus worming and started on Nu Vet supplement when they go home to their new family. We are always available for questions and to help in any way we can. We love to stay in touch. We love our pets and know you will too.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
Love for our pets and the desire to share that with others. My sisters, mom and I all work together with our various pets.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is our first. About 6 months ago
How did you decide on a name for your website?
We ran names by each other for weeks and one day I came up with Wagz N Wigglez. Everybody liked it so we went with it.
What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?
Our webpage has gotten lots of comments on how family oriented it it. We not only focus on our pets and puppies but also the relationship everyone has and will have with the new family pet. We have a page named: "It Takes A Village" I think this just about covers it. A new family pet involves every family member as well as anyone else inter acting with the family, even the mailman.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Our goal first and foremost is the health and care of our pets. We strive to produce a well socialized, loving family pet that also represent the conformation set forth by the breed it represents. We want to match our puppies with its new family. The puppies needs should match the lifestyle of the adoptive family. Those are our most important goals.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Actually, we are not in this venture to get rich. Caring for pets and puppies is not a lucrative business but it is definately, rewarding. We have lots of fun and many times a not so great day turns into the best day. Like taking a puppy to a Surprise Birthday party and getting to join in the festivities. Or getting to replace a family with a loving pet when they lost theirs. There are so many stories to tell of the gratification we have received thru just providing families with these adorable little creatures. I guess its true, great happiness can come from the smallest things.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I dont think I would change a thing. We are hands on and want to remain hand on.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I dont know
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
There are lots of costs and headache with pets. Like vet bills, registration headaches and just generally caring and housing but it always comes down to the thought that it is well worth it.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Finding the breed we wanted and then acquiring the pets we felt were most suitable to the breed standards and the qualitites we were breeding for.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Just caring about people and trying to represent ourselves to our best ability.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
It demands more time
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
about 6 months and we will keep it as long as it suits our needs
What drives you?
The smiles we see on peoples faces. Young and old alike. It is a great reward when people send pictures and tell us how happy they are to have found their lifelong pet thru Wagz N Wigglez.
