I saw this video before, about a year ago, but unfortunately forgot it for months. This morning I was checking my YouTube Favorite list and saw it again so I thought of sharing it to you.

This is the video of the super adorable laughing prairie dog. I don't know, but it got my heart and my attention. I find it lovely and very much adorable. We do not have prairie dogs in this part of the globe so I easily feel for the cute little thing.

Obviously, Prairie Dogs are really not in any way related to the dogs we commonly know. They are more like a relative of the squirrel, only that they burrow instead of living up on trees like most squirrels do.

They live in prairies and has a calling voice that resembles a dog's bark, hence the name. They are highly sociable and are seen living in large colonies. I have seen a lot of documentaries about them and whenever they go out out of their burrows to enjoy the sun, hundreds of cute prairie dogs will line in.

Though cute and too adorable, they are often preyed by other animals such as eagles, foxes, hawks and badgers. Well, this will help nature maintain its balance. However, the prairie dogs know this so they are often keen and observant. Not to mention jolly too, which the video can prove.
