Please give us a short summary of your website?

Online Pet Supply Store with daily specials. Free pet recipes, forum and more.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I have been interested for years but never pursued it until now. Getting older so better go for it while I still can.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

March 2007- Mypettstore.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Wanted something simple but to the point.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

I sell below retail and always look for unique pet products for customers. I check my emails daily so if a customer has a question I will response quickly.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

To keep it for income and to work from home someday.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Spending more than making at this time.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would be able to decrease the prices and add more products.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I would not have a problem with keeping up.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Google making changes is a headache. Overall cost of getting started.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Marketing

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Free submit sites and passing out business cards at events.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

More issues to deal with to bring in traffic and more expenses than anticipated.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

6 months and will continue for aleast another 6 months

Would you recommend someone to open their own website store?

Yes, I find it challenging. I would not recommend it anyone who does not have the patience, money and time to invest in their site. Definitely need all of this to succeed.

What is your website address?
