Waggle De Tails Pet Services Interview

Name of your website?

Waggle De Tails Pet Services

Your name?

Valerie Carr

Your Location (city, etc)

Havertown, PA

Please give us a short summary of your website?

We are a pet services company serving Dealware County, PA. We offer dog walking, pet sitting, canine massage (soon), animal photography, homemade dog treats, pet taxi and errands and homemade dog treats!

What inspired you to launch your own website?

My business inspired me to launch my website! Nowadays lots of people search online for business services. I wanted to make it easy for someone to see what I offer, my rates, and an easy way to reach me.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

This is my first website launch and the site is only half done. I plan to add a contact sheet and paypal info so customers can pay by credit card, in addition to paying by cash or personal check.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Had many names written down but this one had aring to it and it's fun-- which is what I wanted!

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

The name had a ring to it and my business cards and website, I think, are very cute and get the message across.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan on growing my business in this county and hopefully expand next year sometime. Then maybe start a doggy daycare.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

Starting a business takes time and money. And as a business owner you can expect to work extra hard. It's worth it if you love what you do.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would probably spend more money on advertising and marketing.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

none

What has been your biggest challenge?

finding the right advertising medium that gets customers to your website and to give you a call!

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

paper ads at local stores, word of mouth and online free advertising.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

it's tedious and time consuming but worth the effort.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

It only started up.

What is your website address?
