Waggs n Wet Noses Pet Sitters Interview

By Interviewer at 05/25/08 01:28

Name of your website?

Waggs n Wet Noses Pet Sitters

Your name?

Stacy Jones

Your Location (city, etc)

Naperville & Bolingbrook IL.

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Our new website is about Waggs n Wet Noses pet sitters and dog walkers, a Naperville based pet sitting and dog walking service recently started by animal lover Stacy Jones.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I understand the importance of having an easy to navigate pet sitting portal to have people that are looking for a pet sitter or someone to take care of their dog or cat find us online.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I started writing about pets and animal issues on AnimalsNeedHelp.com an anti animal cruelty blog. That helped remind me how much I really love animals and from that my new business got started.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I just liked the name Waggs n Wet Noses because it reminded me of animals having fun and that's what my website is all about, having fun with your animals while you are at work.

What makes your website different from other, similar offerings?

My pet sitting website is actually a Wordpress blog so I can easily make updates and create other pet sitting relative posts. My plan is to create a post for each pet I sit for with a photo of the dog or cat and a little bio about them. I'm also going to have a pet sitter report card that I can use to update their owners with how thanks went on my daily visit.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan on keeping our website active to promote my Naperville pet sitting and dog walking business.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

It does take a huge commitment to be the best pet sitter I can be, but I feel the animals deserve that.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I provide a variety of services for dogs, cats and other small animals, including private and group dog walks and doggie playgroups, cat visits, day care and pet taxi services. With a larger budget I would expand my coverage area outside of my town Naperville IL and expand to other Chicago suburbs.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Since my website is targeted to pet owners in the town of Naperville and Bolingbrook I don't think I have to worry about getting too big too quick. I do post articles that may appeal to other animal lovers like myself so that is always nice to see comments.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

We know how it is to rush home to let our dog out or be worried when we go away, and we want to make thing~ easier on people and more fun for pets. We intend on providing unparalleled availability, reliability, professionalism and loving care for pets, all at competitive rates.

What has been your biggest challenge?

I have been busy creating a brochure and business cards to place at Naperville pet shops and veterinary clinics in the area. I also want to say thanks to everyone that has helped to spread the word about my new pet sitting business

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

I have made a few pet sitting press releases about Waggs n Wet Noses, that helps my site get found on the search engines for people looking for a pet sitter or dog walker in my area.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I don't know, I just leave that up to my husband at DesignAndPromote.com

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I just stared my pet sitting business a month ago so now it the time get some good relative pet sitting links, thanks to classifieds1000.com for their help.

Are you offering any incentives or money saving coupons?

As part of the grand opening celebration,Waggs n Wet Noses Pet Sitters will donate $1 of every pet visit I make to a local animal shelter through 11/1/08.

What is your website address?
