These sharks near the Islas del Rosario in Cartenga Colombia are very hungry. They are pretty small so they would make the perfect exotic pet to keep in your swimming pool!Yeah, I know Sharks make a terrible pet... just like racoons, squirells and other wildlife. Yes, I was close enough to tough the sharks when I took these photos.

morgan is totally right. A pet shark, are you people crazy!!! Almost all of you are out of your mind! Sharks should be in the wild! If they lived in a swimming pool they would die! Plus you would probably die or if your lucky, loose a leg or arm. Get a life people!!!!! Comment #9 Fish Lover at 05/19/09 13:29
Look guys, I have to say that both sides are pretty out of whack here. A shark in your swimming pool? You sound like a 10-year old that wants to find a dinosaur. Of course you can't keep it in your pool, idiots! You would have to completely drain it, clean it, put in live rock and coral, fill it up with salt water, and get a really good filtration system, as well as a reliable heating and cooling system. By the time that you've done all that work, you probably could have bought a Lamborghini. That said, you CAN have a shark in a 175 gallon tank. I would reccomend leaving the nurse and leopard sharks to the aquariums, but a Port Jackson shark or a wobbegong is an ideal pet. Or, you could always go for a cat shark. Not nearly as interesting, but better for smaller tanks. But please. In your bathtub? Get real. Comment #10 yo at 06/26/09 15:28
fish lover is absolutely right. all of you that say "you will get bit" or "thats the stupidest idea I have ever heard" are boring. Yes Ashton, you can have a shark, some of them are as small as 2 feet fully grown. I feed mine by hand, he doesn't have teeth, he doesn't try to eat my hand. Look up cat sharks for sale on google. Also, odds are your local pet store sells them.
