It's actually a blog written by my Dalmatian Eddie and is part of a program he has where subscribers learn easy tricks to taking better pet photos.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
Well, it's all part of a much bigger picture I haven't quite figured out yet.
What do you blog the most about?
It's mostly Eddie discussing daily activities from his point of view. The Humans in his life and the other pets in the house all play a role, but it's all out of Eddie's mouth.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
I'm still pretty new to all this. I think freedom of expression is important but hate-related sites are a bad thing.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Hmmm. Make it interesting. Sometimes too much is just that, too much. Find a gimmick that is enough of a twist to be 'new'. Join blog communities to share ideas. Learn from others and try to stay patient while learning.
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
Hate-related, racially-motivated things. Anything viewed as disgusting by the general public.
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
I actually own and operate a small town newspaper. I hope to see a residual income from the online division of my business, so it won't be my primary concern...but some extra cash wouldn't upset me!
How long have you been blogging?
Months. A few months.
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
Not daily, but maybe a few hours a week. I spend a lot of time trying to promote the blogs online.
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
No.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
No. Not sure how it can help me as I'm still working out what I'm doing.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
No. See above.
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
I've used free press release sites, link exchanges and free online advertising. They all have helped in their own way.
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
Well, mine of course. Probably just because I can.
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
Well, I'm always trying to cut down on all the distractions on my blogs. Affiliate ads are great, but there is a limit to what is too much. I'm still working out what works and what doesn't work on my sites. It's an important lesson to be flexible enough to delete something because it just isn't helping.
What are your top five blogging site picks and why?
I really don't spend that much time visiting other blogs.
Have you met anyone offline as a result of your blog?
No.
