What inspired you to launch your own website?
I was a school teacher and living on a school teacher salary doesn't get you very far financially. So to provide a better living for my family is my motivation and inspiration. My husband works on the road every other week. We want to build websites, promote products, make money and get him home!
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This is my second of many! Summer 2007
How did you decide on a name for your website?
Using a keyword analysis tool to decide what keywords are being used for the relation to our product.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
My website is easy to understand, navigate, and order. We have a legitimate product that has been proven to work.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it for income! Of course the right buyer at the right price could make a difference!
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
The success is out of sight compared to the time and money invested.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
Right now buying more payper clicks and getting linked to some big name sites to get my site on the top of the search engines.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Absolutely!
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None really. I've been very fortunate so far.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Learning how to build and promote a website effectively.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Honestly, I'm still figuring that out. But I feel being able to get the right links, page rank and payper clicks all adds up to successfull marketing.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
I was a little nervous at first but the more I get into it, I love it and its much better than I thought it would be.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
Just a few months. As long as there is a need for the product and it makes money, I will keep it up.
