Kamuniak - The Blessed One

My co-worker told me about a series in Animal Planet before that touched her heart. I don't know where I was that time but I missed watching it so I told her to tell me the things about it.

The title of the show was Heart Of A Lioness. It was a documentary about a lioness named Kamuniak (Kamunyak), a Swahili term for The Blesses One. What made Kamuniak different from other lioness around is that she was known for taking care of at least 5 baby oryx. Yes, you read it right. The animal that feeds other lions in the Samburu Game Reserve in Kenya became the babies of Kamuniak.

Pet Gone Missing

One of my cats has been missing since this morning. I about to feed them when I noticed one of them is missing. It was the same cat my girlfriend gave me. If you will remember, her name is Brenda, a white Persian cat.

I tried to look all over the house, even went out to the street and asked a lot of people if they have seen her. I'm scared she might get run over by passing vehicles.

Humming Birds and Humans

I was having a mini marathon of David Attenborough's BBC Wildlife videos on YouTube when I came across this video about hummingbirds and what they have become in our modern time.

I was amazed to learn that hummingbirds are now very much used to the presence of humans, and at some point, human intervention has become a part of their survival.

The Bird Eating Frog

I have always known some species of frogs really eat birds. But I have never seen one before, until this afternoon. After waking up at around 3pm (I'm mostly awake at night), I went into my backyard to check on the stock items that I plan to sell at a local junkshop.

From my yard, you can see my neighbor's backyard too along with their small pond that is full of tiny waterlilies, kois and small frogs. I love watching the frogs come out to the open all at almost the same time to feel the sun. They are so cute!

Canine Train Service

I was on a train station a few days ago to hopped on a short trip to visit a friend. As a standard security procedure, all baggages, even small ones must go under a metal detector and a natural nature detector. Wonder what a natural nature detector is? It's a canine dog.

Canine unites being used in train stations and other big establishments is just now a common view. I think every country is now doing this for security reasons, because more than any computer can detect, dogs are still the best in that field.

I love Small Dogs

I have always been fascinated with small breed of dogs. You know, all things small are cute! I really love how small dogs and cats walk with theirs owners on the street.

I have seen chihuahua and shitzu own the road with their cute tails wagging. Everytime they walk the street, it seems like everybody's staring at them! And how cute it is to see small dogs do tricks! Right?

Laughing With The Prairie Dog

I saw this video before, about a year ago, but unfortunately forgot it for months. This morning I was checking my YouTube Favorite list and saw it again so I thought of sharing it to you.

This is the video of the super adorable laughing prairie dog. I don't know, but it got my heart and my attention. I find it lovely and very much adorable. We do not have prairie dogs in this part of the globe so I easily feel for the cute little thing.
