When I was still living with my parents in our hometown, our backyards are full of trees. We have large farms and many trees. One of the usual thing you can have from having this vegetation is the abundance of cicadas. And when you have cicadas in your backyard, you now what will happen next. A night of acoustic sounds. At around 6pm, just when the sun started to set, cicadas start their ritual, singing. In our place it is usually called the Cicada Song, I don't know what you call that in your own place. I love hearing them, because I know that when they're there, the place is still clean, unpolluted and the vegetation is still high.  I got this story from Orange and I can't help but be amazed with it so I though of sharing it. The picture of a mutant like animal on the side is not a joke. It's for real! It is a monkey-looking piglet. This monkey-faced pig was born in China a few days ago, and is starting to become an attraction to the locals. Many people rushed to the house of Feng Changlin, owner of the pig, in the village of Fengzhang of Xiping town after news spread out that an unusual looking piglet was born. When I was a kid, you either made a sports team or you didn't. If you didn't, you tried hard and went out again the next year. Nowadays parents interfere and say their child wasn't given a fair chance or they are small for their age. Who cares? I have even seen parents stoop so low as to call out and make mean comments to girls on the opposing team at my daughters softball games.It is not limited to kids and sports either. My daughter has been taking horseback riding lessons since she was about eight years old and now wants to compete with here horse Jackson, which we have been leasing from her teacher.
