Spring Valley Ranch Interview

By Interviewer at 12/30/07 18:00

Name of your website?

Spring Valley Ranch

Your name?

Brandon Raithel

Your Location (city, etc)

Leesburg

Please give us a short summary of your website?

My website displays information about my horse farm.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I needed added exposure for my business

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

My website was launched in August 2007.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I just used the name of my farm.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

It includes more information other than directions and contact information. It has info on the horses and the staff.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I plan to try and evolve into a large equine information site to make minor profit from.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

I have had a major increase in business since I started the website.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

Probably wouldn't change that much.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

Yes, I have a lot of free time and many resources available.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

Just minor html problems but they were fixed.

What has been your biggest challenge?

Getting more traffic.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Craigslist.com

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

It was pretty much what I expected.

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have had it up for about 6 months and plan to keep it up as long as I have my business.

What is your website address?

Spring Valley Ranch
