When I was a kid, I adore Santa Claus and his flying reindeers, most especially Rudolph, the most famous of his sleigh bringers. But I always ask my parents as to why Santa's reindeers are the only ones that can fly and the others I saw on TV cannot. They too do not know the answer.
And so I grew up. I learned my father is the Santa Claus I admired who always puts candies and money coins in the Santa Socks I hanged every Christmas in my room window. And I also learn there are no flying reindeers in the world. But this video, however, provesnot Santa Claus's existence, but the myth behind his flying reindeers.
The flying reindeers were true afterall. Well at least in their own imagination. The magic mushrooms, or the fly agaric mushrooms, are the culprit why reindeers think they can fly. That perhaps is the reason why reindeers always prance, thinking they can fly.
I never thought the mushrooms I usually see in fairy tale books and programs are the reason of the reindeers supposedly flying gestures. But I think the ones who made the stories of the flying reindeers also were able to experience the fly agaric's hallucinogenic effects.
I suggest do not let your kids watch this video, they might think Santa Claus is a dope too.
