My Dog Finn follows along in all the new aspects of owning a pet. As a first time owner of a dog there are lots of things to learn, and share, as we go.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
Sending 100 e-mails saying "look how freaking cute my dog is" to friends and family would quickly get me defriended from many of my friends facebook accounts and real life activities. Instead the blog serves as a way to update those who care, educate folks browsing the web, store memories of this time and generally practice some writing.
What blogging platform do you do and why?
Blogger, cause I didn't know any better. It works well enough.
What do you blog the most about?
Poop, eating, playing outside. The top three things, after sleeping, on Finn's mind.
What kind of blogs make you angry?
Monetization blogs. ARRRGGH. What, you mean I can make money on the intra net? And only YOU can tell me how? Save it.
Give five of your best blogging tips.
Don't write sucky material. Don't overmonetize your blog that gets 15 hits daily. Don't go on back to back 6 month vacations with one post in between Do make tons of lists Do enjoy what you write about
What are some things you would NEVER blog about?
I've got a post I'm about to publish about vomiting poop (the dog did this) so ya know... it's rare there is something taboo
Did you start blogging for the purpose of making money and if so, are you making enough money?
Nope, a few dollars come in every once in a while, it's a nice perk to a hobby.

One year
About how many hours per day do you spend blogging?
30 min or so following up on things. Not daily posting though
Do you track RSS feeds and if so, how many do you usually track daily?
Yes, my google reader has over 150 feeds, about 10% are "must read", 20% "try hard to read", 30% following for some odd reason, and 40% cause there are always slow days at work.
Do you use Digg, and why or why not?
Yes, not on my blog though. Nothing really would pretain.
Do you use Stumbleupon, and why or why not?
Yes, haven't put it back on the blog in a while. Not a very active user
What promotional techniques work best for you and why?
Basic SEO (title pages relevantly, tag pictures, write quality stuff... or try at least).
If you could post a blog on any blog in the world, which one would it be and why?
My own, I rather enjoy it as a hobby. But if I had to guest blog I'd go with my favorites, lifehacker, deadspin, woot daily blog
What mistakes have you made that you could warn others about?
If you are doing a redesign do it all at once, not in pieces.

Lifehacker, Deadspin, Solidsmack, Boing Boing
