Please give us a short summary of your website?

obedient-dog-behavior.com is dedicated only to dogs. This site provides information about dogs, dog obedience training, understanding dog behavioral problems and learning how to correct them

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I have been training dogs for over 30 years and involved in rescuing abused or abandoned dogs with behavior issues for over 20 years.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I launched this website in August 07.

How did you decide on a name for your website?

maximising on keywords that were descriptive of the content.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

this site is informational and hopefully reflects my passion

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

hopefully it will pay for itself and also promote my ebooks.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

these are early days on this venture but I do expect to sustain an income.

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

If I had the budget, I would work on this site full time.

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes. definitely

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

few costs just a steep learning curve.

What has been your biggest challenge?

learning optimization

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

hosting through SBI

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

better

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

it's been up 8 months and I foresee it going on forever
