Doggie Doos and Don'ts is a locally owned and insured dog waste clean up service. Our company is customer service based and we offer fast, easy scheduling and guaranteed satisfaction . We service both residential and commercial properties. WE PICK UP THE DOO SO YOU DON'T HAVE TO!
We also offer: Dog training, pet sitting, walking, doggie baths, vet visits, and trips to your groomer.
What inspired you to launch your own website?
My friend is a professional web designer;therefore it was an inexpensive way to advertise on a mass level. I wanted to give my cliente a quick easy visual.
When did you launch your first website, and what was it?
This website is my one and only superstar website ha ha anyway it was launched summer '07.
How did you decide on a name for your website?
I had a dream...That one day I would rule the poop world with my catchy name, and that is what my website has been named after.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
There is no other similar offerings in my town that I know of.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
To pass this business onto my grandchildren.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
According to my tax advisor I am breaking the even bar beings I am still in my first year.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
I would reach higher in advertising and supplies for the company.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
Definately. We are a big family working hard to make this business grow.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
Radio commercials that kept running past my cancelation date and my air time fees became overwheleming. In addtion I gained no new clients from it.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting the business name out in the community in the most cost effective way possible. Everybody wants something, even if it is just to set my business cards on their counter.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Printing it on ALL advertising including business cards.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Not hard to maintain at all.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
As long as I am alive and well running my business.
