Please give us a short summary of your business?

Play and Stay Pet Care Center is one of metro-Detroit's newest dog daycare, boarding and training facilities. It provides daycare services with early morning and late evening hours, with both indoor and very large outdoor play areas. The separate training facility offers puppy socialization, obedience, agility, and other training opportunities.

What inspired you to launch your own business?

Play and Stay Pet Care Center was created as a leader in the evolution of the pet care industry to better serve the human customer while providing dog-appropriate amenities for the benefit of the dogs.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

Play and Stay's facility offers air exchangers to replace the interior air 12 times per hour, auto-waterers in all play yards, rubber flooring, flexible play areas to accomodate dogs of varying temperaments, a very large outside grass play area and on-site supervision 24/7.

Our business hours of 6:30 am to 10:00 pm allow many owners the capability of using our services that may not be able to use a traditional daycare facility. We also offer daycare on the weekend.

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

Our goal is to expand the Play and Stay customer service concept to multiple locations, either through company owned sites or franchises.
