Name of your website?

Family Dog Care

Your name?

AJ

Your Location (city, etc)

Glen Ellyn, Illinois

Please give us a short summary of your website?

Family Dog Care offers expert advice and information on dogs.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

I love dogs. I wanted to offer a site that offers resources to people who need advice or information on dog care.

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

2 years ago. http://familydogcare.com

How did you decide on a name for your website?

I wanted to keep the name simple and easy to understand.

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

articles written by experts not just random advice

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

to keep it - maybe add more features to it, eventually.

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

this is just a hobby

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would advertise on television

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

yes

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

none so far

What has been your biggest challenge?

advertising the site

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

submitting information to pet websites

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

it involves more marketing than I originally thought

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

about 2 years. I hope to keep it, even if it just becomes popular in my local social circles.

How is your website making a difference?

My website offers advice & information on dog care to people that can be obtained 24/7. Educated dog owners are happy dog owners :O)

What is your website address?

Family Dog Care
