If you own a cat, you probably have experienced waking up in the middle of the night either by them crawling in your bed, fitting their bodies in your legs or bed corners and most usually, by their loud cries. The latter is what I always experience and at times I wish I can just ignore them but they always prevail and succeed in waking me up.
One time I was pretty exhausted from work and immediately went to bed once home. After just about an hour of 'sleeping', rather a nap, I heard this very loud, persistent purr from one of my cats. I tried to ignore it and went back to sleeping.
But after a few minutes, another one of them started purring and another one joins by the minute. In all, 3 of them are all singing in harmony as if saying "we won't let our master sleep until we get a few Whiskas midnight snack".
In doubt it will ever stop, I get off the bed and started yelling at them. But instead of stopping, they went purring for more volume like a crying baby or a kid that has been scolded. I want to be angry at them but I don't know if getting angry will make them stop.
So I just tried to comfort them, put them in my arms, belly rub them and eventually gave in to giving them a midnight treat. And once again, peace was restored in my humble house.
It happened a few times before and I know it will happen again. Oh well, I guess I just to be patient. Afterall, they give me happiness when they are happy.
