An easy to navigate resource site filled with informative articles about cats and kittens. New articles are added daily. Enter your cats picture in the Mac Daddy Cat Challenge.

What inspired you to launch your own website?

This is a tribute to my eight cats

When did you launch your first website, and what was it?

I lunched my site in 2006

How did you decide on a name for your website?

Becuse CatNews.Com was already taken LOL

What makes it different from other, similar offerings?

My website is a lot more user friendly the Ask.com and it isn't filled with ads

What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)

I would like to build this site up to a high PR and sell banner advertising on it

How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?

So far so good. My PR is 2 and I am getting over 2000 visitors a month

If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?

I would ad a photo gallery and the ability to have articles uploaded by my readers. I am working on a shopping cart and adding products for sale

If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?

I would love nothing more then to work on website all day and get paid for it.

What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?

I am having to teach myself how to use PHP scripts

What has been your biggest challenge?

I am 47 years old and everything I know about computers I had to learn on my own.

What method has been most successful for promoting your website?

Its hard to say. I have a sign on the back of my truck and I am well listed in all the search engines so who knows. I do know that my traffic is growing every month.

How has running your website differed from your expectations?

I am playing hell getting my site listed high with google. I am doing everything I read about on the SEO blogs but its an uphill battle

How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?

I have been building my site for 2 years and plan on keeping it for a few more years. I am using it for my classroom to learn to build websites
