So what is the title all about? Ok, so we have two common things in regards with cats and Olympics. The 2008 Olympics will be held in Beijing, China. While cats, are being eradicated in Beijing, China.
The picture on the side tells us all. That is how the Chinese people prepare for the 2008 Beijing Olympics. It is widely known that the Chinese are cat lovers. But that was before. Rumors said that the government help in spreading the news that cats are harmful to their kids and would led to many diseases.
The result? People abandoned their cats in the streets and none of them would like to have them back in their house. So these cats ended up straying the roads of Beijing. But because the Olympics is getting near and the Chinese government do not want their visitors be welcome by a hoard of cats, they decided its time for these cats to leave the city, and leave for good.
They hired cat assassins. Its like in the movies where they treat cats as monsters and if not stop, would take over the earth. So what they do is put these cats inside small cages. The cages are small enough to keep the cats down to their feet facing the floor. In this cages, moving is prohibited. Even moving your head is restricted.
Their horrible situation caused them to have injured body parts. I saw a photo where a lost lost its eyes. Another got its skin burned. Because of the the cats location, diseases spread easily. They died in pain and agony. To add more to our disgust, these cats are mass burned. While still in cages, they are put under fire. This slow method of killing the innocent cats is just the saddest thing I have learned. It's so barbaric. It's so not right. This animal abuse needs to be halted.
I can't stand thinking how those lovely animals suffer under fire. These good Chinese is doing their best to clean their place and ended compromising these animals. Now I have a reason not to go Beijing.
