Acupuncture is effective in humans and obviously can be good for pets, the principles are the same. For the treatment of arthritis, neurologial problems, epileptic fits, etc. the American Veterinary Medical Association has approved the use of acupuncture. A treatise has been cited on the treatment of elephants with acupuncture in India dating from 3000 BC. More than 1000 American veterinarians are using acupuncture at present and charging $95.00 dollars per treatment. If we love our pets, and many do, we should get the best treatments for them. Long live acupuncture!
